Sony has updated the PlayStation Blog to say that two new firmware theme updates will be available - one for PS3 and one for PSP. PSP version 3.71 will further improve the functionality given with PSP theme update 3.70. The Psp Themes 3.71 will add “many features” that the readers on the PlayStation Blog have wanted. There’s no news what exactly those will be, but they name the main new feature as being the ability to apply PSP 3.71 themes to your XMB. Wait, wasn’t that in 3.70?
Anyway, Sony has also said that new PSP 3.71 themes will be available for download at some point on PlayStation.com, the official PSP Site and the PlayStation Store. The PlayStation Store, huh? That sounds cool, but why quit. We would love to have free demos, free wallpapers and free videos made available that way, too….oh well.
